Great River Health Systems Summer Intern | 40 hours per week | Plant Operations in West Burlington, Iowa

Minimum Hiring Wage:

From $15.00 per hour

Job Details:

Scheduled: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Job Description:

Assists and learns to maintain facilities and grounds (lawns, tress, shrubs, parking lots, side walks, etc.) year round. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Polices hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, routes or detains them, or call the police. Ability to work in various weather conditions and during off hours.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be able to work in hot and humid summer days.

Must be able to operate motorized equipment and hand held equipment.

Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

Preferred:

Experience with the following tools preferred:

Cultivators, Lawnmowers, Gators, Fertilizer spreaders or distributors or levelers

Experience with the following technology preferred:

Electronic mail software-Outlook, Operating System software-Microsoft Windows
