United Rentals Maintenance Technician in Waxahachie, Texas

The main responsibility of this position is to safely maintain, diagnose, repair and replace components for a light industrial, weld/fabrication facility. Must have solid knowledge in electrical schematics for machinery. Works in accordance with safety regulations and procedures at all times up to including the following:

Skills:

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team as needed

  • Strong knowledge of 1Ø & 3Ø high voltage and low voltage systems

  • Proficiency in industrial mechanics:

  • Maintain and repair facilities and equipment

  • Gearboxes and motors

  • Pneumatic Systems

  • Valves, electric and pneumatic

  • Screw Conveyor & Bucket Elevator Systems

  • Forklifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers, skid-steers

  • Paint Booth Equipment

  • Blast Boot Equipment

  • Hydraulics maintenance and repair

  • PLC experience a plus

  • Ability to analyze equipment malfunctions and develop effective solutions

  • Bilingual a Plus (Spanish)

  • Other projects as assigned

This is not an entry level position. Candidate must have the above experience and well versed in all areas of Industrial Mechanics. The individual will also play a key role in the planning of preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance. Must be detail oriented and organized.

  • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain and repair plant facility’s equipment.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding. Troubleshooting and repair of production machines

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities

  • Use of variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and materials handling equipment in performing duties

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs

  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.
