Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Watsonville, California

Description

We are in search of a dedicated Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Watsonville, California. The role will primarily involve managing our general accounting operations, overseeing the accounting team, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The role will also involve developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and monthly and annual closing processes

• Manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Coordinate and oversee annual audits and prepare necessary schedules and disclosures

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information to senior management and external stakeholders

• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensure compliance

• Support the development of the annual budgets and periodic forecasts

• Create variance analysis reports

• Utilize various accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and Great Plains (GPAC) for efficient operations

• Ensure smooth functioning of accounting functions like Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct auditing and billing functions as per company policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
