What You’ll Get to Do

CACI is looking for a Senior Cloud Database Administrator with a background Oracle database administration with a strong understanding of AWS and RDS to join our team supporting an important a Department of Justice agency in the National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team responsible for building and maintaining enterprise software applications to meet business needs. The Senior Cloud Database Administrator will be a member of an agile team, administer over 30 AWS RDS databases running Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSFT SQL Server, and MySQL in multiple AWS accounts. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including account management, AWS Data migration services (DMS) design and implementation for inter-database synchronization, backup/recovery, disaster recovery testing, and configuration management. Manage database management systems (DBMS) on AWS and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

Candidates should have strong verbal and written communications skills.

More About the Role

The Database Administrator will have Advanced AWS RDS Experience with Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, and MS SQL Servers that includes but not limited to:

  • Deploying multi-AZ RDS systems with high performance

  • Performance tuning with AWS Performance Insights

  • Integrating Oracle Enterprise Manager for performance monitoring

  • Designing AWS Data Migration Services jobs for data synch between databases

  • Database Encryption at rest and in transit

  • Configuring the parameter groups

  • Managing IP traffic using a security group

  • Auditing the database log files

  • Maintenance and management activities

  • Planning backup and recovery strategies

  • User management

  • Monitoring the database

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Similar

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an Oracle DBA

  • Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) - Expert

  • AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) - Advanced

  • Oracle Database Administration - Advanced

  • PostgreSQL Administration - Advanced

  • AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) - Intermediate

  • Certified SAFe Practitioner

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
