Perkins Management Services Comp Executive Assistant to the SEVP in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Executive Assistant must be effective in planning, prioritizing and executing tasks in a timely manner. They must also exhibit skills in building & maintaining strong relationships both internally & externally. The ideal candidate is both approachable & respectful, comfortable with new technology, virtual meeting platforms and scheduling systems. Considering the culture of ownership and accountability within Perkins International, this person should be comfortable taking the initiative when faced with administrative decisions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains calendar and appointment scheduling and works with leader to effectively manage time.

  • May serve on special projects, committees, or act as manager or department representative.

  • Opens, distributes, reads/handles mail and emails as requested or required.

  • Maintains an up-to-date electronic and paper filing system.

  • Manage the travel budget and book all executive air travel, land transport, and accommodation as well as communicating those arrangements with a high level of detail and follow through.

  • Create reports, presentations, memo/communications and/or type up meeting notes.

  • Some personal errands on behalf of the Executive Team will be needed from time to time.

    Skills and Experience: 

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, or 3-5 Years related experience in being an Assistant

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication; capable of drafting emails, reports, and other documents

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email platforms, and familiarity with virtual meeting tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams

  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and learn new tools and technologies as required by the role

  • Skills in organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and conferences

    Desired:

  • Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) certification

  • Microsoft Office certifications

    Ability to commute/relocate:

    · Washington, DC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Location: One location
