GCyber Data Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

GCyber is hiring a Data Analyst to support a high visibility project focused on automating data validation and verification audits between disparate data sources from both cloud and on-premises environments.

Your primary responsibilities include documenting audit scenarios, validation tests, and expected outcomes for each source system, performing both manual and automated audits, and identifying use cases for data visualization and analysis.

As the Data Analyst, you will: 

  • Work closely with EOP stakeholders to understand and document audit types, scenarios, and frequency for each source system and data type.

  • Develop comprehensive audit procedures that cover all relevant data sets.

  • Ensure that all audit procedures are defined, documented, and carried out accurately and completely.

  • Identify use cases for data visualization and analysis that provide valuable insights into the data being audited.

  • Perform both manual and automated audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of source vs. target data following agreed-upon audit scenarios and test cases.

  • Continuously monitor the audit results to identify trends and potential preventive measures to improve data validation and verification procedures.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications 

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  • 2+ years experience

  • Proven experience in utilizing advanced Excel functionalities in a professional setting.

  • Prior experience in data visualization, data modeling, and/or analytics preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    This is a remote position but you must be local to travel to the White House as needed.
