Quality Manager Manage the quality assurance and analytical laboratory testing of the company's beauty products. Assess the company's current manufacturing and production processes and recommend changes to increase efficiency. Review new and existing product specifications, create Quality Control Plans, and develop and implement quality control specifications. Communicate and work with chemists to develop testing procedures for raw materials, processed materials, and finished products and ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Direct and oversee analytical lab tests and ensure compliance with standard testing methods, procedures, and regulations. Analyze samples for various compounds and components in compliance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and applicable regulatory agency guidelines. Manage the troubleshooting of noncompliant samples, writing and updating of quality control procedures, and implementation of test methods. Review test results and other related technical documentation from product analysis and experiments and report findings to executive management. Maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the testing and review phases of development to ensure that products are in compliance with industry requirements and standards. Direct the use of a wide variety of treatment test equipment such as high performance liquid chromatography machine, viscometer, homogenizer, Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometer, pH meter, filtration devices, hot plates, dissolved solids tester, moisture apparatus, melting point apparatus, and balances. Stay abreast of the latest advances and industry trends in beauty cosmetics and homecare products. The position supervises 6 to 8 subordinates (1 QC Supervisor, 1 QA Supervisor, and 4-6 QA/QC Inspectors and QC Chemists).

Requirements: The position requires a Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This may be ubstituted with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in test equipment such as liquid chromatography machines, viscometers, homogenizers, Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometers, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
