Ridgeview Medical Center Scheduling & Timekeeping Specialist in Waconia, Minnesota

Purpose of Job This position is responsible for being the subject matter expert for the scheduling and timekeeping applications. Primary areas of focus include training, process improvement, data reconciliation, maintenance, and overall system health of the applications. Job Functions Timekeeping: Meets all deadlines for payroll processing. Reports any discrepancies, unusual or questionable time entries to appropriate leader, Human Resources, or Payroll Coordinator. Maintains a strong and current knowledge of payroll policy and law by participating in applicable training and regularly reviewing policies. Obtains approval for, and documents, all additions, deletions, corrections, etc. Retains all required documentation. Works with employees and management to ensure that payroll punches are approved, documented, and recorded correctly. Scheduling: Works directly with department managers on schedule development, including defining baseline needs, skills or certifications required per shift Customer Relations and Technical Expertise: Clearly and concisely communicates and coordinates timekeeper and scheduling activities with managers and staff. Thoroughly and accurately completes all actions related to timekeeper and scheduler functions. Through investigation ensures accurate and effective resolution of customer concerns. Thoroughly and accurately uses staff scheduling systems to complete job expectations. Functions as a contact person for staff and manager on questions/issues related to timekeeping and scheduling applications. Accountable for ongoing continuing education in scheduling & timekeeping applications to stay current with new software enhancements and upgrades. Applies wage and hour knowledge to daily work to ensure the organization is compliant. Identifies areas of concern and presents/coordinates improvement projects.
