Scope

No sales responsibility. Lead small 2 or 3 person teams on small to medium size projects. Provides input to department budget. Administers project budgets.

Primary Responsibilities

60% - Provides concise information to management and team in response to client inquiries. Works effectively with client team members while being sensitive to the client's environment in response to client requests. Interacts directly with the client on a limited basis and participates in client meetings to develop a good rapport on issues and see when to go beyond planned scope. May mentor less experienced Developers to build skill sets based on assignments and actively participate in solution design. May lead development teams for small to medium sized projects.

20% - Under general direction, follows established Software Development methodology to develop code on new software and enhancements on existing software. Assists in training lower level Developers and Developer Analysts on established Software Development methodology. Executes projects according to established businesses process.

20% - Tests, performs root cause analysis on programming issues that arise on existing implementations, and debugs programming to resolve the issues identified, which may involve working with developers from outside of the department as well as those outside of Maritz. Rapidly assesses core issues and assists the project leader and client surface and consider them. Handles complex analyses with little supervision and develops actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

  1. Advanced knowledge of: Java, JavaScript, , ASP.NET, and the SQL Server line of RDBMS products.

  2. Bachelor's degree, relevant work experience, or completion of software development program.

  3. 5-7 years’ experience within a technology related field which includes experience in Software Development.

  4. Experience with software engineering methodologies such as CMM/SEI, RUP or ISO a plus.

  5. Demonstrates superior written and oral communication skills.

  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  7. Knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
