Description
This position is full time, 7a – 5:30p and is eligible for shift differentials.
We’re seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit nurse with PACU, Emergency or ICU experience. Our Registered Nurses are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care.
Plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of the Pre-Op and PACU departments.
Supervises staff and facilitates communication between the Operating Room, Interventional Radiology, and Endoscopy to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
Exhibits excellence in problem-solving, negotiating conflict, and collaborating with others.
Takes leadership in the daily flow of the unit through creating patient assignments, facilitating patient through-put, being the liaison for anesthesia and the surgical/procedural providers.
Performs daily huddles with staff and communicates real-times updates to workflows that directly impact patient care
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
BLS certification (AHA) required and ACLS may be required in designated departments

Our Perioperative Surgical Department is a 22-bay unit, with currently 6 operating rooms, 4 to open in the future. We also care for patients from other procedural areas such as Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy to provide complete specialized care. Our care communities focus on patients with specific types of cancer, providing specialized infusion, clinical examination rooms, clinical research, and space for support and rehabilitation services allowing us to further focus on our holistic approach that is patient centered.
