Performs the administrative and managerial functions of the Clinical Laboratories serving inpatient and outpatient
Supervises, coordinates, and evaluates systems and personnel responsible for all laboratory operations.
Ensures that all departmental procedures are performed in accordance with established policy and procedures.
Maintains communications between the laboratory and hospital administration, physicians and other hospital
Represents the laboratory at department meetings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Meets requirements for position as defined by CLIA 88 standards and the Georgia Laboratory Licensure law (O.C.G.A. 31-20).
Registered Medical Technologist, MT (ASCP)
Management or Business Degree is a plus.
3-5 years of direct laboratory management experience in a community hospital.
Strong interpersonal, human resource, communication, public relations skills, and clinical skills.
Must possess a valid and current driver's license.
