Credit Manager
SUMMARY
The Credit Manager leads the credit activities by acting as a business partner to the various departments to ensure the growth of Kenworth Montreal Group's sales while limiting credit risks, and by promoting the company's values of respect, integrity, communication, and teamwork.
Personnel management
People management, including staff development, development, teamwork, and motivation
Customer account management
Maintaining good business relationships with clients, in compliance with performance standards and the achievement of objectives, to promote customer retention
Management of the amount of credit to be extended to customers, based on the creditworthiness assessment, and based on PACCAR's policies and credit approval matrix
Follow-up on the collection of accounts receivable within the specified timeframes to limit the risks associated with bad debts
Continuous verification and monitoring of customers' credit histories with financing institutions or credit associations
Keeping financial information in client files up to date
Reconciliation of accounts receivable activities to the general ledger to ensure the integrity of the financial statements
Monthly reports on accounts receivable activity, account age, and collection
Management of procedures according to the guidelines of the corporate group, interpretation of regulations and legislation concerning financing and/or the rights and obligations of the merchant and consumer
Mediation, in support of business unit managers to ensure the settlement of litigation cases
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
Education: University certificate (Commerce, Administration) or equivalent
5 years of accounts receivable management experience combined with 3 years of personnel management experience
Be fluent in French and English
Proficiency level: intermediate speaking, writing and reading
Frequency: Weekly
Reason: Communications with the U.S. corporate group as well as clients outside Quebec regarding accounts receivable
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Good knowledge of computer systems
Entrepreneurship, results-oriented
Leadership (gather, mobilize, guide, influence)
Salary starting at $90K, depending on experience
