V2X Site Services Manager in Iraq

Overview

This position is responsible for the daily oversight of site services staff, ensuring professional and quality services are provided to the customer in accordance with program requirements. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Responsibilities

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals. Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Provide daily oversight and supervision of site services to include, but not limited to: IT; satellite and cable television; motor pool; escorts; custodial services; pest control; landscaping/grounds keeping; building maintenance; water and sewer systems; plumbing; electrical and mechanical systems; fuel systems; recreational facilities and pool maintenance; and residential operations, to include housing and housekeeping.

  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, including employee performance reviews and any other first line supervisor administrative duties as required.

  • Schedule personnel, including sifts and rotations, to maintain acceptable levels of service at all times, including support of short-notice projects.

  • Assign tasks and establish and enforce standards of conduct and performance in the work environment.

  • Inspect and audit in-process and completed work, to ensure work meets SOW and quality standards.

  • Plan, organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks under austere conditions, to perform job functions in an orderly manner.

  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

  • Windows Computer and associated software, cell phone, two-way radio, vehicle and other office equipment.

  • All equipment of types that require maintenance or certifications pursuant to the OBO Maintenance Standards and/or applicable code or manufacture requirements, e quipment which is operated through a sequence of operations, • electronic controllers, sensors, and network devices, agency owned sensors, if applicable.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    This contract is performed in a contingency operations environment, in a harsh climate, and often hazardous situations. While performing the duties of this contract, the employee will regularly be exposed to an extreme and austere desert environment. Temperatures can reach 120 – 130 degrees Fahrenheit/50 – 55 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Employees must

    be willing and able to perform job requirements in this environment, as well as deploying to Iraq for extended periods. Work schedules are typically six (6) days per week and ten (10) hours per day. Employees may be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors. All employees must be able to move quickly to cover during security alarms. This includes being able to lift, carry and/or wear forty (40) pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time and being capable of running during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk. All staff must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license from home of record.

Security Vetting: Already possess a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance or be able obtain a favorable USG Secret clearance prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance level for the duration of the task order.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health and security measures.

Experience:

Ten (10) years O&M experience for a small commercial, industrial, and/or military facility. Extensive knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources, leadership, service delivery methods and coordination of people and resources.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.

Skills:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage required staff.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting task order responsibilities at an overseas facility.

  • Experience providing excellent customer service.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

  • Previous international experience and previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions
