Omnicell, Inc. Field Service Engineer in Newcastle, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
An Exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team within Omnicell.
Working in partnership with existing team of ADC & RDS engineers
Provide planned routine maintenance and corrective tasks on multiple products, including ADC/VBM/PS24 products, in accordance with written schedules and procedures, Full training provided.
Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner, whilst always promoting an interest in the company.
Manage effective car boot stock inventory & replenishment of parts
Provide customer training and instruction as required.
Complete, update and close job tickets & tasks in a timely manner.
Act as a key point of contact to all customers in the appointed region, ‘owning your customer sites’
Other key areas
Support Helpdesk and non-technical teams in other departments within the organisation, providing technical knowledge and expertise.
Reporting = Reporting to the UK Field Service Manager and matrix reporting to the Sr Manager Service
Requirements
Relevant education qualification ONC with Electronics or Industrial Technology studies preferred, but not essential or proven career history within field service and/or technical service
Willingness to learn new products & technology
Proven track record with minimum of 2 years in customer support and customer service within a technology industry
Demonstrate a competence in engineering disciplines.
Proven track record of working as part of a team
Should have service experience (workshop or field) working and engaging directly with customers and end-users.
Experience preferred: maintenance, fault-diagnosis & troubleshooting, repair of computer-based and PLC-based machinery, including:
Computer literate with ability to use relevant software packages, such as Microsoft Word & Excel
Understanding of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry is desirable, but not essential.
Automated machinery in a service or maintenance engineering environment
Pneumatic systems & sensors
Computers, servers, UPS software and hardware maintenance in windows environment, including basic networking skills.
Test and fault finding on AC/DC circuits and able to read and understand circuit diagrams.
Medical based field service and/or workshop engineers preferred but not essential, all other technical field-based engineers considered.

Working conditions
Home-based hybrid working, will need to live near or within easy commuting distance of motorway networks
Must be willing to travel throughout the UK to support customers
The role will involve carrying out scheduled maintenance and dealing with ad hoc support calls, either remotely or on-site. This will include replacing parts, fault finding, performing quality and safety checks, and counting car stock.
