VF Corporation Retail Inventory Control Auditor in Belgium
Perform daily reconciliations between the POS system and the accounting system on all retail & outlet inventory movements.
Review and clear the daily interface error report for all inventory related errors
You will work closely with the store staff to make sure any errors/discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner to ensure the inventory flows through in accounting.
Analyze & take action to prevent manual adjustments with shrink impact
Work with the inventory control supervisor & merchandising teams to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize item level accuracy.
Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
Follow up problem stores and collaborate with the relevant departments on the actions needed to support the stores.
Stock Count Process
Based upon the stock count calendar you will:
ensure completeness and accuracy of the count.
ollow up with the stores and ensure they carry out preparation instructions correctly.
ensure stock count procedures are communicated and respected by the stores.
perform spot checks to ensure accuracy of counts.
coordinate the count progress and ensure results are posted in the financial books.
provide on a weekly basis reports on the shrink results. Based on the shrink results you identify necessary recounts.
You will help:
in analyzing, understanding & explaining shrinkage results in case of e.g. systems issues, internal theft, etc.
set up tracking tools allowing you to monitor store errors (e.g. forgetting to close inventories, stock mis-mangement, etc.)
assist in ad-hoc analysis on request of European or Corporate management.
Additional (Ad-Hoc) Responsibilities:
Attend and follow-up on store opening & closing inventories
Perform ad hoc inventory counts e.g. for store management changes
