What Is the Purpose of This Position?  Entry level General Sales support. To provide quality service to customer accounts for Farwest Steel Rebar. Provide pricing and logistics support to customers.  Interface with Customer via phone and email.  Routinely work with internal account representatives to assist in other sales opportunities.  

Duties: 

  • Receive and process sales requests from customer accounts. 

  • Ensures customer sales orders are expedited, scheduled and order commitments are met.

  • Communicates customer demand changes to relevant Farwest personnel to signal production changes.

  • Assists in coordination and tracking of orders being shipped to customer.

  • Coordinate processing of customer returns and credits.

  • Monitor profitability by product line on a routine basis and make recommendations for pricing review to the appropriate Farwest personnel

  • Participate in material certification collection and prepare submittals to the customer.

  • Where appropriate will offer customer information on depth of services of Farwest Steel Corporation. 

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    High School diploma or equivalent required. Excellent communication skills. Professional phone demeanor.   Customer service experience. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.  Exhibit great listening and recording skills. Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Suite programs.   Ability to work in a team environment as well as externally with customers. Able to adapt to different social settings, perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make accurate mathematical calculations.  Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.

    Ability to read, communicate verbally with customers and other coworkers.  Must be able to see computer screen/written order.  Continuous mental and visual attention as the work is repetitive and diversified requiring constant alertness. Must be able to handle stressful situations.  

Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00 hourly DOE
