Overview and Essential Functions

Foreman Wireless $26 - $32 / hour (D.O.E)

We are currently seeking an experienced Wireless Foreman to join our team in Upland , California. The ability to multitask, while maintaining complex schedules is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver, and can communicate effectively. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is the key to success in this position. All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.

    What you’ll do at VCI Construction... (essential functions)

  • Lead a crew and jobsite on a variety of projects including small cell, mods, NSBs, and maintenance.

  • Work with a team to get jobs completed safely, on time, and efficiently.

  • Complete closeout packages and punch corrections as needed

  • Travel to and from job sites

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Who VCI Construction is looking for… (required skills for success)

  • 3+ years Telecom/Wireless construction experience

  • Knowledge of wireless construction practices

  • RF installation practices and procedures

  • Must have a valid driver's license and transportation

  • Must be able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions

  • Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds

  • Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement

  • Must be able to operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery

  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work

  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders

  • Must be able to work in small/confined areas

  • Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear

  • Sweep/PIM/fiber test experience/certificates a plus

  • RF awareness certificate a plus

  • Tower Climb and Rescue certificates a plus

  • Aerial Lift certification a plus

  • Must be comfortable working at heights in a manlift or other aerial lift device, and/or on a tower

  • Ability to professionally interact with customer representatives, city employees, and property owners

  • Detail oriented

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a MUST

  • Must be able to work independently to complete tasks on a daily basis

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word/Excel)
