JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State is seeking candidates for a Graphic Design Specialist . The final candidate will support Project PA , a collaboration between Penn State University's Department of Nutritional Sciences and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Division of Food and Nutrition , which partners with schools and their communities to provide sound nutrition education and to promote children's healthy eating behaviors.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design multimedia layouts using programs such as Camtasia and Storyline to develop multimedia versions of online training modules.

  • Design illustrations using programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to assist in the design and layout of print materials.

  • Design and/or edit websites including sites where training program registration will take place.

  • Edit photography video and print materials.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires an Associate Degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Familiarity with the administration of Moodle, a course management system, is a plus.

  • This position requires a highly organized self-starter with excellent time management skills who works well independently.

Additional Information:

This is a limited-term staff position, funded through June 30, 2025, with an excellent possibility of renewal.

Flexible Work Arrangements:

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$46,400.00 - $67,300.00
