Maintenance Mechanic II

Work Mode: Onsite

The hourly range for this position $26.94. The specific pay offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.

Shifts Available:

1st Shift is 12 hr 2/2/3 rotating shift schedule.

3rd 8 hr, Sun-Thurs shift schedule. This shift includes an additional .80 cent for Differential Shift Pay.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for performing routine and general maintenance and repairs of plant equipment as assigned by supervision. May work alone or with other departmental associates in the performance of assigned tasks. Associate should have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Carpentry, Welding, Cutting Torch, Pipefitting, Metal Working, Fabrication, Plumbing, Electrical, Machinist.

Must perform quality work in sufficient quantity to meet requirements and assist in obtaining plant objectives.

Support manufacturing and facilities by providing maintenance support for all machinery, equipment, systems and safety programs.

SPECIFIC RESPONIBILITIES:

  • An ability to interpret and follow machine and electrical diagrams and operation manuals.

  • Be aware of OSHA standards and follow safe work practices to avoid injury or accidents.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment utilizing 5S methodology.

  • Maintain and execute preventative maintenance (PM) schedule timely for equipment and facility.

  • Enter, track and close out maintenance work orders via SAP system.

  • Proficiently utilize a wide variety of electrical and mechanical test and calibration equipment.

  • Industrial Electrical Wiring and Control (110 volt to 480 volt 3-phase)

  • Troubleshooting/Problem solving skills with ability to read wiring, pneumatic, hydraulic drawings.

  • Experience with PLC a plus.

  • Effective, accurate and timely communication skills between shifts and when problems are detected.

  • Frequent contact with outside vendors (such as electricians, mechanical contractors, parts vendors, etc.)

  • Make recommendations on process improvements.

  • Basic Computer Skills.

  • Lockout tagout training is required (conducted at facility within 30 days of employment).

  • Confined space training is required (conducted at facility within 30 days of employment).

  • Forklift license training is required (conducted at facility within 30 days of employment).

  • Works with Operations Leadership to acquire and install new equipment for capital projects.

Skills/Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position

  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes

  • Reliable attendance and work performance

  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

  • Must be at least 18 years old

General Requirements:

•Three years of related industrial maintenance experience

•Walking, climbing (Ladders, Hoist, Catwalk), Bending, Stooping, Crawling (confined space) are required. Routine handling of 50 to 80 pounds

•Ability to lift/push/pull 50 to 75 pounds

•Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

•Work in other areas as needed

•Conduct developmental testing as requested

•Work overtime and/or non-regular hours as needed

•Communicate effectively between shifts

•Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping (5S)

•Work with minimum supervision

•Associate degree or certificate program preferred

•High School diploma or equivalent required
