Job Description

Location: Twinsburg

The Production Support Engineer will be responsible for leading technical assignments to support production, design, test and other engineering activities related to electronic assemblies and generator designs for use in various aircraft categories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provide production technical support and lead resolution of issues for legacy product

•Perform product troubleshooting and support lab testing

•Preparation of dispositions for product non-conformance, following the investigation, and development of substantiating data as required.

•Regularly liaise with manufacturing and suppliers to clarify and provide engineering input during the manufacturing process

•Monitor troubleshooting trends on product lines and use of first pass yield data to direct design related improvements to product lines

•Travel requirements: Occasionally be required to travel, both domestically in the United States and internationally (less than 10%)

•Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture

•Other duties may be assigned

•Evening and/or weekend hours may occasionally be required

•While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms

•The employee will occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds

Work Environment:

The work environment is split between office, laboratory, & manufacturing/fabrication. The noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab/mfg/fabrication environment can occasionally require either vision &/or hearing protection.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

•A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

•A minimum four (2) years' experience in design, manufacturing, and assembly in a regulated industry

Candidate Skills & Requirements:

•Experience with non-conforming product and MRB processing

•Experience and hands-on capability with troubleshooting and solving technical problems related to manufacturing and assembly defects

•Experience with basic tooling including measuring equipment, drawing interpretation and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

•Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD package

•Ability to work on multiple assignments with shift in priorities

•Ability to interpret complex information and convey a simplified message to team members of varying technical expertise

•Structured problem solving techniques

•Continuous improvement mindset

•This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
