Description

Seeking a Controller to provide leadership and coordination in the accounting, finance, and budgeting efforts of our team. This role will oversee the organization's financial planning and accounting practices and manage relationships with lending institutions. This role will be integral to maintaining our financial stability, liquidity, and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization

• Provide support and direction to the accounting staff

• Direct procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and afford adequate accounting controls and services

• Act as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization

• Appraise the organization's financial position and issue periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth

• Assist senior management with the establishment of budget programs, strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems

• Coordinate tax reporting programs and investor relations activities

• Analyze, consolidate, and direct all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles

• Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements

• Oversee and direct the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual report, financial reports, and special analysis

• Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analysis, reports, and recommendations

• Direct and analyze studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations

• Establish both long-term and short-term department budget goals

• Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required for business operations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controller role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Famous Software

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and requirements

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Demonstrated ability to manage all Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes and Budgeting - Forecasting

• Familiarity with the software 'Famous' is a plus

• Experience with Corporate Treasury functions

• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process, excluding the use of discriminatory practices or words as mentioned in the Discriminatory Words list.

Master's degree (M.A.), CPA license, or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
