Performs administrative and manual duties related to the ordering and transferring, packing, shipment, and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. - Pick ordered components from a packing list and double-checking them against customer purchase orders. Examine components to ensure quality standards. - Assembles orders and prepare goods for shipment. Assembles and fills boxes or packages for shipping with protective packing materials. - Prepare shipping paperwork for domestic shipments using Federal Express, UPS, USPS or freight company while utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. - Prepare international shipment paperwork, including Customs documentation. - Manage and oversee the ordering, transferring, and receipt of disposables and accessories. Verify counts and visual quality and complete transactions in appropriate business system according to established procedures. - Maintain inventory of shipping supplies. - Coordinate daily shipments with UPS and Federal Express. - Track shipments to ensure on-time deliveries. - Maintain detailed records of all outgoing shipments. - Communicate with operational staff relating to packing slips, shipment tracking numbers, notification of back ordered components, and other shipment issues. - Work with Accounting Department to ensure proper invoicing following product shipments. - Unpack, sort, and place materials or items on racks, shelves, and bins. - Document damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Reject damaged goods. - Verify accuracy of shipments and log all incoming parts. Record and report all shortages, overages, or incorrect part numbers received. - Monitor and achieve inventory control through accurate receipt, storage, shipment, and data entry. Conduct routine physical inventory counts and reconcile variances. - Distribute received goods into correct storage area or to the named recipient in a timely manner. - May operate hand truck, pallet jack, and/or forklift to safely move items to proper locations. Qualifications - High school diploma/GED required - 2+ years in a shipping/receiving capacity - 2+ years in customer service is preferred - Proven successful communication skills - Excellent numerical and data handling skills - Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test Physical Demand: Must be able to lift 50 pounds routinely. Position requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling of equipment as well as using hand manipulations when utilizing hand tools.
