We are looking to grow our team with a Commercial and Residential Drywall Estimator.Responsible for estimating new and existing construction projects. Qualifications and Responsibilities: Minimum 2 years of estimating experience in commercial and residential projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs. Prepare and compile detailed cost estimates and conceptual estimates for new projects. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Building Connect, Construct Connect, Plan Hub, Plan Swift, Procore, PlanGrid and Contractor Blue Book programs. Ability to scope and estimate small and large-scale one-off projects and programs. Consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Meet with clients and communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Verify material quantities. Develop competitive bids for new work. Provide cost reduction ideas. Build relationships with contractors and assess market conditions. Create and review contracts for accuracy. Education, experience, certifications Degree in construction related field is helpful. Prefer 2 years of experience as a commercial and residential construction estimator. Knowledge and understanding of the Union-scale workers is a plus. Speaking and understanding Spanish would be helpful. Existing vendor and subcontractor relationships a plus
