JOB SUMMARY:

Employer Kautex Inc. is seeking a Manager, Advanced Quality in Troy, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow the Kautex Flawless Launch Process (FLP) for Advanced Quality Manager (AQM). Responsible for task, Health and Excellence FLP for AQM—these include: reviewing Customer Quality Specifications and impact to Kautex and quote to customer, assessing any risks, and completing Risk Matrix at quote phase; preparing the Early Product Quality Wall (EPQW) documentation based on the Kautex and Customer Requirements; preparing the Prototype Control Plan to ensure the product meets the drawing and engineering specifications; working to ensure during the prototype builds the team is following the control plan and escalating any non-confirming requirements for deviation approval both internally and to the customer; supporting the PFMEA and ensuring critical characteristics are captured and error proofing is designed in the equipment to ensure non-conforming product is not shipped to customer; preparing the Production Control Plan to ensure the product meets the drawing and engineering specifications; ensuring during the early production builds the team is following the control plan and escalating any non- confirming requirements for deviation approval both internally and from the customer; performing a Control Plan Audit on the production line; confirming the metrics match between the Control Plan and the Machine Controls; ensuring all error proofing is correctly working with Red Rabbits; performing Reverse FMEA audits on production line; performing short-term and long-term statistical capability analysis; In the case of any non-conformance, work with team to develop corrective action and get both Kautex and Customer approval; and supporting team meetings at customer and manufacturing locations. Oversees a project budget between $200K to $250K for up to 4 or 5 projects at a time.

Up to 50% domestic and international travel to Kautex locations throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Brazil, as well as suppliers and customer sites all over North America required monthly.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial, Mechanical, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering or a related fied.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Five (5) years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry. Experience to include five (5) years of experience with Fuel Systems, Washer Systems, and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Systems; five (5) years of experience with Control plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, and audits; IATF 16949, Advanced Product Quality Planning, FMEA, Control Plan Audits, and statistics; working with plastic blow moldings and injection moldings.

800 Tower Dr. Ste. 200, Troy, MI 48098-2843. Hybrid Work-From-Home schedule permitted 1-3 days/week within a reasonable commuting distance from home office, located at 800 Tower Dr. Ste. 200, Troy, MI 48098-2843. 40 hours/week.
