Northwest Michigan Health Services, Inc Dental Assistant in Traverse City, Michigan
The Dental Assistant is responsible for preparing patient, sterilizing instruments, and assisting Dentist during procedures. The Dental Assistant is also responsible for keeping accurate patient records and any postoperative instructions prescribed by the Dentist.
Qualifications • Must be up to date on CPR certification and CEU requirements (as needed) • Ability to work in an independent and flexible manner • Well-versed in sterilization, OSHA, PPE, and infection control • Good interpersonal communication skills • Cultural sensitivity • Must be comfortable and compassionate working with low socio-economic status patients • Flexibility to work at other NMHSI locations and/or mobile dental clinics or events • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required • Current Radiography Certificate • Registered or Certified Dental Assistant preferred but not required
