Description:

  • Manages a team of payroll specialists that input payroll data and prepare payroll processing (15 states, 150MIL processed) - Manages payroll systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely payments for employees - Manage biweekly multistate payroll and tax deposits via Workday - Creates and revises payroll procedures and ensures compliance - Resolves payroll issues and implements audits to prevent errors - Maintains tax compliance by state and files periodic reports - Delivers year-end reporting (e.g., W-2, W-2c, 1095-C,) - Oversees staff personnel activities such as hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, and discipline - Recommends and implements operational improvements and short-term plans - Sets and monitors team goals and responsibilities to achieve results and quality service - Leads, coaches, and rewards staff. Addresses employee concerns and fosters trust - Supports higher level management with business objectives, policies, budget, and compliance This position manages a team of payroll specialists that input payroll data and prepare payroll processing of the credit union's biweekly multistate payroll and tax deposits via Workday for a large and growing organization. Verifies changes to personnel information or tax law, calculates overtime or bonus payments, and collects and retains personnel records or timesheets. Prepares reports or returns summarizing payroll-related expenditures and audits payroll data for accuracy. Assists with the selection and implementation of 3rd party payroll processors. Provides timely financial reporting and manages all aspects of the employee's payroll experience.
