Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Recommend process improvements for quality, yield, or cost improvement

  • Worldwide manufacturing support for asset life, operational, and performance related issues. Support or lead troubleshooting efforts

  • Support and lead plant engineering organizations in problem solving

  • Support and lead emergencies, protect the asset & recover process from major upsets/issues

  • Support and lead manufacturing capital expansions, startups and equipment repair worldwide as required

  • Focus on building knowledge of the existing process and capabilities

  • Engage in early-stage developments from Technology delivery group

  • Documentation of improvements and process understanding

Required Skills:

  • Process excellence and Statistical skills – PCPD, Six Sigma, data analysis, KT and so on

  • High requirement in English speaking and writing capability

  • Data driven analysis
