Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Radiologic Technologist in Tacoma, Washington

Overview

As our Radiographer at St Joseph Medical Center, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.

Every day you will be providing X-ray procedures within our Imaging Center, Emergency Room, or patient rooms to assist physicians to assist our Doctors in diagnosing diseases and injuries.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Knowledge of EPIC and PACS will help you hit the ground running but is not required for the position

Responsibilities

  • Efficient interpretation of clinical information from clinical team meeting radiology needs of patients

  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order

  • Hyper-sensitivity in monitoring radiation exposure time and activity

  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.

  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence in troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree In Radiology

  • 1 Year Of Experience In which may be obtained through practical education/training

  • Active Radiologic Technologist license in good standing with the State of Washington

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) required

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

Pay Range

$33.89 - $50.80 /hour
