DuPont Performance Building Solutions has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Account Manager in the roofing market, located in California. This is a virtual office based position.

This position will primarily focus on increasing sales and market share of DuPont™ Roof Protector™, the complete line of Tyvek® Protec™ roofing underlayments, and accessories in the western United States. The account manager will accomplish this by driving adoption with large roofers and developing, servicing, and managing our local dealers. There will be a focus on managing a network of independent sales agents in part of the assigned territory and working directly with local dealers in the remainder of the territory.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Direct responsibility for managing and growing sales of DuPont’s underlayment portfolio to a network of roofing distributors

  • Indirect responsibility for growing sales in territories managed by independent sales agents

  • Close collaboration with the Steep Slope Roofing Industry Manager

  • Develop, communicate, and execute against tactical accounts plans that support the national business objectives for the category

DuPont Performance Building Solutions account managers promotes products throughout the value chain including:

  • Dealer training

  • Problem resolution and trouble-shooting

  • Provide input to Pricing Manager on overall territory

  • Identify, negotiate, train, and manage the distributor for all new product introduction and commercialization.

  • Provide regular and consistent feedback on technical needs, new building envelope technologies, competitive solutions/systems, and strategic opportunities/partnerships for business growth.

  • Become an industry ambassador within the market by participating in trade groups and industry associations as part of the overall marketing plan

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or will consider a 2 year Associates degree with 5+ years of direct relevant sales experience

  • Three years successful sales experience required

  • English speaking

  • Construction industry knowledge

  • High level of business strategy and market understanding

  • Ability to be a strong customer advocate

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • High safety awareness and demonstrated personal safety engagement are required

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time required

The Pay range for this role is $72,450.00 - $113,850.00 Annual
