This candidate will own the analog/power design, integration, and validation of overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology. Strong communications and organizational skills and the ability to multitask across various disciplines and tasks are a must.

Required Skills:

Power Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for creating power models to estimate battery day of use, power circuit design, simulation, validation, and characterization across multiple products ensuring their successful delivery.

  2. Generate design documentation, guide schematic capture and power delivery network simulation both pre and post board layout, prototype bring-up and design validation.

  3. Characterize power consumption, battery run time, battery usage impact of each NTI project.

  4. Evaluate and enable innovative solutions for cost, size, efficiency, safety, and reliability.

  5. Root-cause and solve technical issues during new technology development.

  6. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as architecture, product design, software, NPI, and supply chain.

  7. Work closely with CM/supplier resources to leverage their engineers and maximize the focus of internal resources on adding value to and differentiating our product.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

  2. 3+ years of experience of low power design and delivery in consumer electronics or related fields.

  3. Knowledge of the characteristics of power conversion such as linear and switching regulators.

  4. Working experience in battery management system, mobile SoC and PMIC.

  5. Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals.

  6. Experience and knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) technologies, such as rigid, flex, hybrid, HDI, etc.

  7. Experience leading technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors against plans.

  8. Experience overall system power optimization and characterization or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated experience in bringing new technologies to product.

  2. Experience performing bench level power measurements and validation.

  3. Experience running PDN and PI simulations such as Sigrity or Hyperlynx.

  4. 5+ years of experience of low voltage power design in consumer electronics or related fields.

  5. Experience with wireless charging .

  6. MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  7. System integration experience involving coex between PMICs and wireless sub-systems.

  8. Knowledge of the relationship between physical layout and electrical performance.

  9. Experience working with following technology areas: audio, image processing, display, wireless, sensors.

Public Compensation:

$129,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
