Responsibilities: * Responsible for establishing and maintaining the ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance program overall for the Sterling Heights Complex, and be responsible specifically for ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance and audit for the Engineering department. * Establish and maintain an ISO 9001/AS9100 compliant QMS process infrastructure, work with other departments and functions as needed to ensure and maintain overall compliance. * Act as internal consultant for ISO 9001/AS9100 questions, issues, and concerns. * Provide periodic refresher training for ISO 9001/AS9100 as may be requested. * Ensure internal readiness for third party ISO 9001/AS9100 audit activities. * Develop tactical action plans to respond to identified QMS non conformances, or opportunities for improvement, including developing estimated resources, schedule, and associated actions and impacts to close gaps and ensure/restore compliance. * Keep leadership appraised of progress of improvement initiatives or corrective actions, continued compliance, and associated risks. * Monitor and track corrective actions to ensure timely and suitable closure. * Monitor key process effectiveness, ensuring appropriate data is collected, tracked, and reported, and any indicated action is taken in collaboration with functional leadership to maintain process effectiveness. * Act as primary POC with third party vendor for scheduling and executing ISO/AS9100 consulting and auditing activities. * Monitor and control internal overhead expenditure associated with ISO 9001/AS9100 activities, as well as tracking, managing and approving third party vendor support material dollar expenditure. * Participate as part of the internal ISO/AS coordination team, interfacing and communicating with other functional representatives. * Coordinate third party audit scheduling, attending to internal logistics (facility access, computer authorization, conference rooms, Vendor escort), internal audit schedule development, and coordinating third party audit interface with leadership and staff. * Provide internal ISO 9001/AS9100 audit support for engineering departments. * Establish and maintain a multi-year audit schedule ensuring appropriate standard clause coverage. * Coordinate with other internal auditors and departments to ensure suitable coverage across the organization. * Provide internal audit support for the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program as may be scheduled and requested by EHS personnel. * Schedule, coordinate and conduct Management Review meeting(s) as required by the standard. * Other quality duties or activities as may arise or be assigned. Qualifications: * Strong background in ISO 9001/AS9100. Accredited training certs desired. Experience leading ISO 9001/AS9100 efforts desired. * Strong background in AS9101 auditing desired. * Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. * Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others, both verbally, and in writing. * Ability to utilize a personal computer and Microsoft office suite proficiently. * Able to work occasional overtime as may be required to meet project schedules or milestones. Attention to detail and consistency is a must. * Ability to work primarily on site, with occasional remote work opportunities.
