*Crystal Finishing Technician: * As a Crystal Finishing Technician you will be responsible for helping with all aspects of our Crystal Finishing area. Duties will include manufacture of standard production and prototype parts, following customer drawings or work instructions, data collection/record keeping, and routine PM of equipment used.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties include set-up, production, and gage measurements of components from part drawings
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical fabrication using all types of machine tools.
  • Fabrication of thin, lightweight parts
  • Able to machine and work parts to very high tolerances
  • React to out-of-control conditions
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrence of product non-conformity
  • Inspect parts that they manufacture and perform the related data entry
  • Mounting wafers for processing
  • Assist in backgrinding of parts to specifications
  • Prepare deposition chamber for coating runs in the sputtering cleanroom
  • Clean substrates per work instruction
  • Data entry, documentation of issues, maintain production records
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per travelers and blueprints, etc.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
  • Comply with all TRS safety rules and company policies.
  • Always wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area.
  • Ability to perform additional tasks as required by management.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing and machining of ceramic or metal materials preferred
  • Experience machining tight tolerance complex geometries to the part drawings

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension)
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, supervisor, and QC personnel
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Word
  • Able to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Dexterity to handle delicate, small parts
  • Basic to intermediate shop math
  • Ability to use and read measuring tool and devices as necessary for inspection of machined parts.
  • Mechanical ability and understanding of engineering principles
  • Ability to read technical blueprints/technical drawings
  • Able to work in a demanding fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to practice teamwork and be safety oriented in a factory environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, as well as, having a willingness to collaborate with engineers and management to eliminate failures and improve processes
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime to meet operational deadlines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS /Work Environment

This job will be performed in a Manufacturing Environment.

Physical -- Must be able to manipulate parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
