Robert Half Part Time Medical Receptionist in Stamford, Connecticut

Description

A client working with Robert Half is seeking a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. Be the director of first impressions in this Medical Receptionist role, providing customer service over the phone and in-person. Responsibilities

  • Responding to telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings

  • Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean

  • Helping out in the management of patient medical records

  • Recording patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

  • Up-keeping various files and providing general office duties, e.g. data entry, scanning, faxing, etc.

  • Taking patients to exam rooms

  • Clean up when needed of exam rooms

  • Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

  • Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

    Requirements

    • This position is best filled with someone with experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system

  • Ability to multitask effectively

  • Clerical Duties experience preferred

  • Solid understanding of Receptionist Duties

  • Calendar managements and scheduling appointments experience

  • Proficiency in Patient Scheduling

  • Experience with Answering Inbound Calls

  • 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist

  • Incoming phone call management skills required

  • Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
