HDR Engineering is looking for a System Protection EIT/Coordinator to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals in our Minneapolis, MN office. Primary Responsibilities In the role of System Protections EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to: Conduct analyses to develop electrical design options, performing modeling and/or calculations Assist with preparing cost estimates or specifications. Perform routine engineering and design tasks and participate in field reviews or construction observation. Work under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer, APM, or PM. May independently work on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. Perform other duties as needed. Some travel may be required. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Preferred Qualifications: EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. Preference given to candidates local to Minneapolis, MN. A minimum of 2 years of experience doing electrical power system analysis, electrical system planning, protective device application, settings and substation design is highly preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
