The role involves a candidate that is proficient in a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks. This role best suits a reliable, detail-oriented individual, with a passion for fixing things, and the ability to support the growth and advancement of EW Grobbel.

Objectives of this Role

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of buildings and equipment

  • Inspect buildings, facilities, and systems for signs of damage, deterioration, or malfunction

  • Conduct repairs and troubleshooting in areas such as:

  • Plumbing: Fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing fixtures

  • Electrical: Installing outlets, switches, and light fixtures; troubleshooting electrical issues

  • HVAC: Performing basic maintenance tasks and filter replacements.

  • Carpentry: Repairing doors, windows, cabinets, and other structures

  • Handle general maintenance duties including:

  • Painting walls, ceilings, and other surfaces

  • Patching drywall and repairing plaster

  • Installing and repairing flooring and tiles

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from supervisors

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, materials used, and work orders completed

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks.

  • Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed to complete projects

    Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques

  • Ability to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

  • Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and other handyman skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Proven experience as a handyman or similar role is a plus
