Summary

The Manager Security Infrastructure & Technology is responsible for managing Ryder's global physical security infrastructure and technology, supporting the entire Ryder organization. The position will ensure that Ryder's security platforms are designed to leverage current and future technologies to build cost-effective solutions for our operations and our customers.

Will be Responsible for facility security system designs, implementation and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and all other types of physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives. The position is critical to Ryder's security strategy and the development and execution of integrated physical security platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for facility security system designs, implementation and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and all other types of physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives

  • Lead high-profile and business critical projects involving physical security systems design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance for our organization

  • Evaluate & deploy new technologies to attain long-term security program goals

  • Counsel management, engineering, & sales on security related issues. Provide clear, concise advice and direction

  • Service and maintenance oversight of security systems across the Ryder network

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Support corporate security investigations

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

  • Effective leadership skills

  • Ability to present information and ideas clearly and understandably to others.

  • Demonstrated proficiency using standard office software applications

  • Overseeing highly complex projects with high visibility and high impact in Ryder

  • Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail

  • Effectively leading and managing tasks and authority

  • Knowledge and familiarity with various security technologies, systems and software platforms, advanced required.

  • Strong working knowledge of information technology and security best practices, advanced required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience required.

  • Three (3) years or more corporate security management preferred.

  • Three (3) years or more evaluation, design and installation of physical security systems preferred.

  • Five (5) years or more professional level experience in security or related field required.

Travel

30-40%

Applicants from California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York City, and Washington:

Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market

data/ranges; applicant’s skills; prior relevant experience; certain degrees or

certifications, etc. The salary for this position ranges from $70K to $90K
