Description The Software Test Engineer conducts all aspects of system-level testing. The STE ensures the software is tested well so management and stakeholders can make well-informed business decisions about releases. Location: 176 S Post St, Spokane, WA, 99201. This role is open to a hybrid work schedule that includes both remote and onsite work. Essential Functions: Engage with project teams to understand business goals and help define testing strategies. Coach testers on effective and efficient test writing, and running and recording test results. Will assist with test writing. Coordinate teams of testers - ensuring tests are written, results are recorded, issues are triaged, status/metrics are reported, testing is on schedule. Coach testers on tests that should be retained to ensure effective, future regression testing. Advise on various types of testing (e.g., in-sprint vs UAT, data migration, mobile, interfaces). Sometimes help with hands-on manual testing. Qualifications: Several years of testing experience or direct involvement in testing while in a related capacity such as a project manager, product manager or business analyst. Exhibit leadership, initiative, and good judgement in anticipating needs and deadlines and ensuring testing is effective and timely. Able to handle projects with many testers and features. Clear skills or aptitude for testing and anticipating what can go wrong with software. A passion for quality and to develop skills in the craft of testing. Exceptional teamwork, willingness to learn, and communication skills. Pluses: Experience with banking, test automation, test tracking systems, tools, quality process improvements. Compensation: $80,522 - $120,837 The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable annual bonus plan.
