Position Overview:

This position is expected to perform infrastructure deployment and physical layer cabling activities. Extensive troubleshooting in addition to administrative role.

Ensures all scheduled technical activities related to troubleshooting, installing, commissioning, and decommissioning of information services (IS) enterprise systems. Directly oversees the scheduling, coordination, and technical training development of select IS personnel. Ensures all necessary materials for both the technical raised floor and facility are in stock or on order to maintain needed schedules. Directly responsible for the security and transfer of sensitive archival data to secured storage vendors. Responsible for the successful installation and tune-up of new IS equipment without interruption to other services throughout Sutter Health and its regional affiliates.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Bachelor’s: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or related field of study

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

5 years of recent relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrated knowledge of electronic data processing (EDP) disaster recovery and security principles.

Capable of reacting effectively in emergency situations in order to restore or maintain system operations.

Working knowledge of hardware and operating system software.

Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Demonstrated managerial and organizational skills to articulate the value of plans and strategies, and assemble consensus across all levels of Sutter Health.

Knowledge of BICSI and Telecordia layer 1 Physical technical standards and guidelines

Knowledge of NIST Physical Security Standards

Understanding of Patient support and care via Information Systems

Sound understanding of healthcare operations including: hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and IS needs.

Pay Range is $46.81 to $70.22 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
