IHG Rep Maintenance in Sierra Vista, Arizona

Responsibilities

  • Complete basic maintenance work orders and related tasks to keep guest rooms and public areas in an excellent state.

  • Assist with completion of the preventative maintenance checklist and complete minor repairs work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, caulking, door programming and repairs, wall patching, painting, PTAC service, light bulbs, patching vinyl, unclogging toilets replacing faucet washers, repair and paint small furniture, etc.

  • Assist Chief Engineer when necessary.

  • Carry tools, prepare the worksite and assist maintenance representatives as needed

  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools

  • Empty all trashcans on a daily basis

  • Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.

  • Adhere to all established safety policies and procedures.

  • Follow procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, etc., replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, and minimize waste.

  • Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications

  • Requirements include basic reading, and writing to fill up documents; basic math skills and 1 or more year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience.

  • You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

  • This job requires ability to perform the following: carrying, lifting items up to 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling items weighing up to 100 pounds.

  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility, using stairwells, frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, and frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling.

  • You must Have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a federal background check to gain access to the military installation.
