WSP USA Project Manager (Residential) in Sheffield, United Kingdom

Your new role, what's involved?

As a Project Manager, you’ll advise on contract management activities; monitor compliance of construction requirements and standards.

The role will require you to ensure that a high level of technical, financial and commercial control is maintained on projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Specialising in the private sector development of Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Build-to-Rent (BTR) projects throughout the UK & Europe

  • Overall Project Management Lead for the client from inception to completion

  • Tender and appoint the project delivery team on behalf of the client

  • Attend design team meetings and produce tender documentation for the main contract works

  • Assisting the Quantity Surveyor with the production of cost plans

  • Assisting the Quantity Surveyor with reviewing tender returns, authorising application of payment (valuations), risk analysis and valuation certificate production

  • Participate in value engineering workshops and analysis of findings

  • Production of the Tender Report and Recommendations

  • Administer the JCT Design & Build Contract as the defined Employer’s Agent

  • Assisting the Quantity Surveyor with the preparation of financial (cost) reports

  • Production of Progress Reports and Executive Summary documents for the client

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • NC, HND, BSc/ MSc in Quantity Surveying / Construction Project Management

  • Experience in delivery of residential projects (ideally high-rise developments)

  • Experience of JCT Design & Build Contract

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, good planning and organising skills together with strong time management skill and team working

  • A full driving licence
