Frontier Kitchen Pittsburgh Custodian in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania

Custodian:

Custodian will report to the Facility Supervisor and the Kitchen Director as their primary supervisor.  The ideal candidate is looking for a steady schedule, 40 hours per week (during the day) with consistent responsibilities and doesn't mind cleaning kitchens.

Frontier Kitchen is a food business incubator; we assist new entrepreneurs in starting their food businesses by offering commercial kitchens for production and business consulting. 

This position is entry level and its primary duty is to take care of the kitchen space, ensuring it meets health department and FDA regulatory standards at all times.  Working with the facility supervisor, you deep clean space and equipment, ensure maintenance tasks are completed and monitor/assist members with questions and deliveries.

In addition to base pay, paid time off, health insurance and opportunities for profit sharing bonuses are available after the training period.

Job Duties:

  • Cleaning and maintenance of kitchen facilities and common areas
  • Checking in deliveries of food and equipment
  • Answering questions and assisting members with using the kitchen equipment
  • Providing assistance to members incorrectly or unsafely using equipment
  • Responsible for assisting with weekly shelf and space audits
  • Monitoring of member activities in the kitchen in compliance with Code of Conduct and Food Code
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Self-motivated, have good communication skills, be a problem solver, and a team player
  • Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
