What this job involves - The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be working in a dynamic laboratory environment. The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, shipping and receiving, mail services, ordering consumables/supplies, lab logistics and moves, chemical and gas delivery. This position will liaisewith client researchers and support personnel to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction and support to enable client scientific operations. What is your day to day? Implement client standard processes and procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction and a safe work environment. Manage loading dock activities, receive and deliver parcels. Maintain tracking system for received items and archive shipment documentation. Manage inventory of shipping and mailroom materials. Maintain organization and cleanliness of shipping room. Move materials between shipping room and storage areas. Obtain quotes and purchase orders from vendors for supplies. Initiate, track, and complete shipments with specialty couriers. Sort and deliver USPS mail. Assist with site office and equipment moves. Complete required training in procedures. Ensure availability and use of safety equipment. Perform any other assigned duties. Desired experience and technical skills Required Effective use of technology and tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel. Preferred IATA and DOT certification Estimated compensation for this position is: $15-25/hour The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed.
