Blue Origin LLC Technician - Integration Engineering III in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers , you will help us integrate, test, and document the assembly of a custom machine tool and all its related subsystems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of additively manufactured spaceflight and supporting hardware, continuous improvement, automation, and process development in this innovative industry. This position is very hands-on and multifaceted so flexibility, attention to detail and eagerness to learn are core components of your professional career. Special Mentions * Relocation provided * Travel expected up to % of the time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manufacture, assemble, and test custom machine hardware according to written procedures, engineering models, work orders, drawings, and specifications Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other large/complex assembly manufacturing environment High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, test procedures and P&IDs Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around critical hardware Experience using common assembly and integration tools Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas Work at heights on work stands and in lifts. Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 40lbs Experience with verbal and written communication of technical data, results, and associated tools (confluence, MS-Office suite) Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Qualifications Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities Experience in handling large/expensive components Experience in laser tracker operation Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures Experience in new product introduction
