Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, US Consumables in Seattle, Washington

Description

Want to help build Earth’s leading e-commerce Finance team? At Amazon, it’s our goal to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. US Consumables Finance team supports the core Consumables category business (Health and Personal Care, Grocery, Beauty, Premium Beauty, Baby, and Pets) and various fast-growing and highly impactful programs (e.g., Everyday Essentials, Subscribe and Save, Reorder Programs Amazon Access, etc.). We are looking for an analytical, self-driven, and innovative Sr. Financial Analyst who is able to distill complex problems into solutions that drive business insights and finance process improvement.

The role will support WW Product Replenishment team, including one of the largest programs in Amazon store – Subscribe and Save, along with a subset of other Reorder programs. The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with strong data gathering and modeling skills.

This role has high visibility with regular interactions with various business units and leaders across Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build financial models/business cases for existing and new program initiatives

  • Drive automation and scale of financial reporting. Simplify process for internal stakeholders (e.g., finance peers and business partners).

  • Driving finance communication with partner teams on product performance and financial impact, including identification of risks and opportunities.

  • Provide insights and clarity on team opportunities to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Partnering with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to understand initiatives and influence financial results.

  • Partnership with business teams and Finance stakeholders to help develop short- and long-term forecasts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, or CPA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

  • Experience partnering with and influencing Finance and non-Finance stakeholders on your teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
