Nvidia Senior Graphics Software Engineer in Santa Clara, California

We are looking for a Senior Graphics Software Engineer.

More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI - the next era of computing - with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. We are looking for elite software engineers to join our graphics team. We focus on GPUs and pixel-heavy workloads for embedded, automotive, robotics and data center use cases. We would like your help figuring out how to position our innovative GPU technologies for these market segments - characterizing their usage in these segments, proposing new features, and helping to lead their development from pre-silicon to power on. This is a great opportunity to make an impact on the industry through interactions with internal teams and external experts as well, with the goal to build future graphics technologies.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Driving our future GPU HW designs to successfully solve innovative problems in graphics

  • Be the graphics domain expert leading cross-functional teams to implement new designs on future HW architectures

  • Optimize our system architecture to take on emerging graphics opportunities in the embedded and automotive markets

  • Leading new feature development from pre-silicon through power on

What we need to see:

  • PhD/MS of EE / CE / CS or equivalent experience

  • 12+ years experience working with GPU HW architecture

  • 10+ years experience in system software and/or graphics software development

  • Excellent programming skills in C/C+

  • Experience with OpenGL, OpenGLES, Vulkan, or DX12

  • Strong debugging & problem solving skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills and ability to work across multiple time zones

  • Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multinational, multi-time zone corporate environment

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with the pre-silicon chips development process

  • Experience with kernel software and firmware

  • Experience working with FPGA and emulators

  • Knowledge how parallel compute APIs operate on hardware

  • Knowledge of virtualization, emulation (qemu), and container technologies (docker, LXC)

The base salary range is 200,000 USD - 385,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
