BeiGene Director, Market Access Channel and GTN Strategy in San Mateo, California

General Description:

The Director of Market Access Channel and GTN Strategy, with a focus on Gross-to-Net (GTN) strategy will have primary responsibility to drive market access success through data-driven insights and effective GTN management . As the Director of Market Access Channel and GTN Strategy, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, assessing payer landscapes, and optimizing GTN strategies to maximize market access and revenue opportunities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to shape pricing strategies, update key market assessments, and give input on payer and provider segmentation. This role reports to the Senior Director of U.S. Pricing, Contracting and Pipeline Strategy Lead.

Essential Functions of the job:

Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and analyze key business drivers, risks and opportunities to proactively maximize profit and drive these to successful commercial execution.

Develop and implement data-driven insights and analytics strategies to support market access decisions and GTN optimization.

Evaluate market access opportunities, including payer engagements, formulary placements, and reimbursement strategies.

Collaborate with finance, accounting, and commercial analytics and business operations teams to align GTN strategies with business objectives and revenue targets.

Drive the development of GTN models, forecasting accuracy, and scenario analysis to support pricing decisions and revenue projections.

Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leadership based on comprehensive analysis of market access trends, GTN margins, and payer dynamics.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of regular reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to GTN performance, market access insights, and reimbursement trends.

Develop accurate demand forecasts and optimize gross-to-net implications for inline and pipeline products.

Ensure that deep US Market Access insights are embedded consistently in all Early Pipeline touchpoints and that strategies to support optimal asset development.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Biological Sciences, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech and/or healthcare industry or an MS/MA/MBA with 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech and/or healthcare industry.

5+ years of extensive experience in market access insights, analytics, and GTN management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and business intelligence platforms.

In-depth knowledge of market access dynamics, payer landscapes, reimbursement strategies, and GTN accounting principles.

Commercial launch experience required.

Strong presentation and communication skills - with exceptional aptitude for learning quickly and ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.

Ability to network across a broad internal and external matrix organization and the skills necessary to form strong, productive partnerships and build consensus and acumen.

Strong understanding of payer and distribution channels (commercial, government, SP, GPOs, etc.).

Strategic thinker - must be able to see operational trends, and activities and relate their impact to the bigger strategic picture (applying potential legislative changes across the business, understanding GTN drivers and explaining to the business, contracting effects on business, etc.).

Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills to C-suite management and external stakeholders.

Experience in oncology solid tumors and oral oncolytic is preferred.

Flexible, adaptable, diplomatic, and able to effectively deal with ambiguity.

Ability to travel 15-25% domestic (Post-Covid requirement).

Able to identify and implement recommendations for improving processes and efficiency.

Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across all key internal & external stakeholders, including executive management.
