nVent Customer Service Representative in San Diego, California

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints.

  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.

  • Order and quote entry into the ERP system.

  • Electronic order review and reconciliation.

  • Management of customer backorders and lead time inquiries, including working with Planning and Manufacturing to determine accurate shipping dates.

  • Resolution of price discrepancies identified at the time of order.

  • Answer inquiries received via phone and email, often by working with other departments such as Transportation & Distribution, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, Planning, and Finance to facilitate a resolution prior to communication with the customer.

YOU HAVE:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in a customer service setting.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of ERP/order management systems.

  • Knowledge of electronic ordering systems (web and EDI).

  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and juggle shifting priorities to satisfy customer requests.

  • Ability to speak with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

  • Ability and willingness to work with different departments within the corporation as part of fulfilling customer service excellence, including - but not limited to - technical support, engineering, sales, product management and shipping & receiving.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$18.90 - $35.00 Per Hour
