Insight Global Biomedical Operations Manager in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

Day-to-day:

An employer in San Antonio, TX is looking for a Biomedical Operations Manager to join their team. This person will be responsible for managing a team of up to 10 individuals in a variety of support roles. The Biomedical Operations Manager provides proactive technical guidance and equipment support to several facilities - travel required to each facility every quarter. They will ensure that the team members and staff provide responsive and professional oversight of laboratory equipment, quality systems, safety, and environmental compliance aspects for all laboratories. Key responsibilities include identifying and supporting growth initiatives that align with the strategic business plan for the company; providing world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes; managing relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers; defining standards of service and ensuring equipment service requirements and productivity expectations are included in contracts and validated at regular intervals; support training of staff on new instruments/tests; responding to emergency and planned shutdowns; managing department schedules, PMs, service requests, time off, and day to day activities; reviewing various reports to ensure timely completion of work orders; developing and revising SOPs, training documents, validation/verification plans, test cases, validation/verification summaries, and reviewing completed validations; participating in audits, and serving as a department liaison; providing guidance including root cause analysis for process variability or equipment reliability issues; and ensuring compliance for all inspections for safety, regulatory, and quality requirements/entities.

This is a permanent opportunity that pays from $110,000-130,000 based on experience.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

 · Bachelor's degree in applied science

 · industry management experience (laboratory operations, biomedical operations)

 · experience supporting or working in a regulated environment (clean room or aseptic environment)

 · Willing to travel (requirements: report to all facilities 1x/quarter) Plusses:

 · LEAN and/or Six Sigma Cert

 · Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES),

 · Certified Biomedical Engineering Technician (CBET) null
