In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, researching, and assessing transactions in areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), stock plan administration, purchase accounting, and more. The ideal person for this position will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, hardware/software revenue recognition principles, lease accounting and excellent technical and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively across business functions. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Lead in driving the approach to maintain ASC 606 and ASC 842 compliance while also enabling our sales organization to grow sales revenue * Ensure compliance with USGAAP, Sarbanes Oxley, and Corporate policy and procedures * Provide technical accounting expertise and leadership on the treatment of various accounting issues * Assess risk and driving the creation of policies and procedures to provide guidance and ensure revenue compliance * Responsible for various aspects of the month-end close process ensuring that all deadlines and cutoffs are adhered to * Assist with the preparation of periodic financial reporting (e.g. 10-Q and 10-K) * Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions associated with contemplated business transactions. * Work with international revenue teams to understand and document differences between the local team and the international team processes * Implement and operate systems around lease accounting * Primary point of contact with external auditors regarding revenue recognition and lease-related matters * Apply knowledge of internal controls over the revenue accounting process to ensure compliance with SOX * Assist in the design of controls to the extent existing control framework lacks guidance and/or is no longer relevant and propose recommendations * Interface with Internal Audit to assist in the remediation process
