Cooke Aquaculture International Marketing and Business Development Manager in Saint John, New Brunswick

Position Summary

The International Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for planning, developing, measuring, and optimizing marketing strategies and tactics to support Cooke’s overall presence in the International Market. The incumbent is also responsible for leading the development of data-driven planning and segmentation for products, customers, and channels, driving sales and market growth internationally. The role will report to the Director of Global Supply

Marketing & Sales Strategy

  • Lead the research, development, and implementation of customer specific channel strategies

  • Play a lead role in the development and implementation of the international sales and marketing strategy, understanding the unique requirements of the markets outside of North America

  • Design, develop and execute a data-driven segmentation strategy for Cooke products Internationally to ensure effective presentation the right brands and products to the right customers at the right time

  • Package research insights and collaboratively develop marketing assets to help the sales team convert opportunities

  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies to enable sales and overall brand and revenue growth across the business, in alignment with key priorities

  • Oversee and set product and customer pricing, as well as continuously evaluating competitive pricing and programs

  • Lead education and training with commercial team members on products available to the international market

  • Lead government relations and associated programming, ensuring that all international opportunities for budget and funding are optimized (CAIA, GNB initiatives, missions, etc.)

  • Play a lead role in trade-show planning and execution, including samples management and attending all international shows

  • Contribute and attend customer meetings to support the sales process and cycle.

    Innovation and Commercialization

  • Lead commercialization efforts in the international markets, including development of all supporting materials

  • Collaborate with the Product Specialist group on inventory related to the international market and prioritize species and opportunities with sales teams

    Data, Insights & Optimization

  • Contribute to the development of and actively track and report against an annual budget, including forecasting and actuals

  • Proactively identify and conduct research and analysis to build a comprehensive and current understanding of customers, trends, competitors, and competitive programming

  • Develop and deploy tools and processes to share consumer and market insights across the commercial business

  • Proactively develop knowledge on tariffs, export fees and other related international considerations

    Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary certificate or degree in marketing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of related experience

    Salary commensurate with experience which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package.
